As there isn't a separate topic for this yet, I will start here. Who are you supporting at Euro 2008 and why? As England are not in it , I will have to support Czech Republic for Milan, but I will keep my eye on Spain too.

Czech Rep, of course, second favourite is Italy. As for the reasons: The CR has been my favourite team for years. Recently I made an online test about which team fits me most and the result proved me right. Italy: I sort of "inherited" that from my mother.

Italy, Czech Rep, maybe I'll support other team. Really don't know. And of course I always root for my native team, even if they aren't champions.

hello every one. i watched the game and Milan didnt play, czech coach played very defensive, with a 4-1-4-1. i think he should change to a 4-4-2 if they wanna win to Portugal. Very good for Sverkos.

Yeah, unfortunately, we couldn't watch Milan in action. I still don't understand, why didn't he play?

Yeah, unfortunately, we couldn't watch Milan in action. I still don't understand, why didn't he play? Now guess, why didn't he play? ;D I never thought I would one day say so, but I'm definitely glad he didn't play, but Sverkos instead, as otherwise we possibly wouldn't have won. I guess this is the end of the Milan-Jan Koller era. Obviously this is hard for Brückner and I would be really glad if he would stop starting with Jan Koller. Play Sverkos from the start and hope for goals from the Sionko-Sverkos connection, which is now much better than Jan Koller or Milan. Jan is old in the meantime, he isn't quick anymore, he isn't flexible enough. He didn't do good at Nürnberg and he looked shaky and poor during the match against Switzerland. As to Milan, I think we can't afford to play him. His poor form is a risk. Only in the case we would win against Portugal tomorrow, which will be very hard, he could feature in the last game of the group stages, as with a win tomorrow we would already be qualified. We need a strong squad tomorrow against Portugal who are in good shape. And we can't only rely on the defensive, as we need goals. And those goals won't come from Koller or Milan anymore, but from Sionko and/or Sverkos. Cesi do toho

Brückner obviously does not visit this board He should have replaced Milan and he should have played Sverkos instead of Koller. The Czechs played well, but they had too many good chances, where a good striker was missing to turn them into goals. We all know that Brückner likes and trusts Milan, but this is going too far. Libor Sionko was really impressive again. I hope they'll beat Turkey and make it to the next round, but Karel Brückner will have to reconsider his line-up.

Brückner obviously does not visit this board Hehe, I fear so Obviously his English is too poor ;D To be honest, Milan didn't have such a poor game. He was running a lot, creating something and disturbing their defences. But as expected he couldn't score. He had a great chance and missed for centimetres The tactics were ok and Milan came as a surprise for the Portuguese. In the end we were unlucky, but played decent stuff. But then I really don't understand why Brückner wasn't playing Sverkos at the end. He looked good and saved us against Switzerland. Now let's face Turkey. In theory it should be an easy task, but in the end one never knows.
